Newborn photography requires much more than knowing how to use a camera.
It requires patience, experience and an understanding of how newborns can be positioned safely and comfortably.
Kriansh Kreative has completed professional newborn safety and posing education, including MOMTOG newborn safety training.
Some of the newborn portraits you see in our portfolio—including advanced poses—may be created using carefully supported photographs and professional compositing techniques.
Your baby’s comfort always comes before creating a pose.
If your baby needs to eat, we stop.
If your baby needs to be held, we stop.
If your baby simply doesn’t like a particular pose, we move on.
Every baby is different. Every session follows their lead.
Some advanced newborn poses are created from multiple safely supported photographs.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY NEWBORN SESSION?
Before your baby arrives.
You don’t need to know exactly when your baby will arrive to reserve your newborn session.
We reserve your place on our calendar using your estimated due date.
Once your little one arrives, simply contact us and we’ll schedule the actual session date.
Newborn portraits are typically best photographed during the early weeks when babies are still naturally sleepy and curled, although beautiful newborn portraits can absolutely be created beyond that window.
Because we accept a limited number of newborn sessions each month, we recommend reserving your session during your second or third trimester.

When should I reserve my newborn session?
We recommend reserving during your second or third trimester. Your estimated due date holds your place on our calendar, and we’ll schedule your actual session once baby arrives.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
That’s expected! Your due date is simply used to reserve availability around your baby’s expected arrival.
How old should my baby be?
Newborn sessions are generally photographed during the early weeks when babies are naturally sleepy and curled. If your baby has already arrived or is a little older, please contact us—we can still create beautiful portraits.
How long does a newborn session take?
Newborn sessions vary depending on the collection and baby’s needs. Full newborn experiences may take several hours because we allow plenty of time for feeding, soothing and changing.
We never rush your baby simply because the clock is running.
Can parents be photographed?
Absolutely.
Parent, sibling and complete family portraits are included with select collections.
We especially encourage parents to participate.
Your baby will someday want to see you in these photographs too.
What if I don’t feel camera-ready after giving birth?
You are not expected to know how to pose.
We guide you through your hands, body position, angles and expressions so you can simply focus on your baby.
Are siblings included?
Sibling portraits are available with our Signature, Heirloom and Baby’s First Year experiences.
Do you provide newborn outfits and props?
Yes. Our studio provides an extensive collection of newborn outfits, wraps, accessories, props and backdrops.
Do you provide RAW or unedited photographs?
Our finished artwork represents the Kriansh Kreative style and includes professional retouching. RAW and unfinished images are not included in portrait collections.
Can I purchase additional photographs?
Absolutely. Additional professionally retouched portraits and artwork can be purchased after viewing your proofing gallery.

Meet your Photographer
Hi, I am Shikha.
I am a wife and a mother of two very energetic, adorable, innocent and beautiful girls. Ever since my first was born in 2007, I was drawn to photography as a medium to preserve childhood precious moments. My heart melted at my babies’ adorable expressions, which I never wanted to forget.
My natural perfectionism combined with passion for photography quickly turned the hobby into a profession that I am blessed to embrace ever since.
I started photographing babies and their families as hobby and passion in 2014. I found my niche in maternity, newborn and baby photography – and I have been in love with it ever since.
My images are modern, creative and organic. I strive to capture natural expressions, and real moments, your child’s true personality and mood; from shy to silly, smiley to curious.
What else about me? I am born in India and I love ice-cream, chocolate and coffee – who doesn’t! I love gardening as well, which I find very relaxing – somehow it gives me time to reflect and brings me peace.
I love babies and everything about them – interacting with them during the session is a real joy and source of inspiration. I put my heart into every session, from early stages of planning through to final edits.
