I. SCHEDULING Newborn Portrait SESSION

Newborn portraits are best taken during the first two weeks of life, when babies most enjoy being bundled up in blankets and wraps.


Book your shoot during the second or third trimester of pregnancy to secure your session spot. We’ll pick the exact date and time after your little one arrives.


If you’ve just discovered us and your little one will arrive shortly or is already here give us a call and we’ll do all we can to accommodate and schedule a session.

II. PLANNING & Customizing Your SESSION

Before the shoot, you’ll fill out a questionnaire so we can learn about your style and color preferences.


Then, we’ll custom-design different photography sets for your newborn portraits.


We’ll also send you several emails/messages to help you prepare for the session and go over all your questions and concerns.

III. THE Day OF YOUR Portrait SHOOT

Your newborn photography session includes full access to our props, backdrops, and client wardrobe.


Bring your baby’s necessities, and we’ll take care of the rest! The session will be relaxed and unhurried.


Be prepared to spend 2-4 hours in the studio, including breaks and feedings. Further, snacks, drinks, and TV steaming services are provided.

IV. AT The ORDERING Appointment 

2-4 weeks after the session, You will get proofing gallery if digital print only , or you’ll come back to the studio to view your carefully edited and retouched newborn portraits for selecting for wall art.


We’ll guide you through our investment menu and help you choose your favorite images.


You’ll also take a look at our heirloom product menu and we’ll personalize your luxury artwork for your home.

NEWBORN Safety IS A Priority


We are Momtog certified and have completed extensive safety training as well as seminars on safety from renowned educators. During the photoshoot, we closely observes your baby for any signs of agitation.


Further, poses where the little one rests their head on their heads, such as the popular “froggy” pose, is done through photoshop composites so they don’t have to support the weight of their head in their tiny arms.


After each portrait session all props, sets, and outfits are thoroughly washed, steamed, and UV sanitized, and we have enacted new safety protocols post covid, such as scheduling only 1 client per day.

Each additional special edit is $50 (Includes but not limited to retouching skin imperfections of subjects other than newborn baby)

You agree to be featured in my website and social media ,please inform beforehand if you do not wish to .

Cooperation - The Photographer is not responsible if the client or child fails to cooperate during portrait sessions. The photographer is not responsible for undesired child mannerisms not limited to things such as: type of smile, crying, shyness, grumpy, non-cooperation, or refusal to take photos.


Proofs sent in 1 week, once you choose your favorites, it takes up to 4 weeks to deliver the edited pictures .

Absolutely No filming in studio or your location.

Entire session amount is due at session time. Late Charges apply if not paid on session date - $200

Please come prepared with moisturized hands and exposed body parts for family session . Skin correction in family session is additional charges.

Late arrival charges - $100 per 30 minutes

No refund on booking fees, can be used towards next session if need to cancel.


Clients are responsible for reviewing and finalizing their image selections within 2 weeks after proofing gallery delivery. Due to the nature of digital storage, images are archived for a limited period only. If selections are not finalized within this timeframe, the studio cannot guarantee long-term availability of files.


In the unlikely event that images are lost, damaged, or destroyed due to circumstances beyond our control—including but not limited to technical failure, equipment malfunction, data corruption, fire, natural disasters, theft, or acts of God—the studio’s liability shall be limited to a refund of any payments made for the affected portion of the services. The studio shall not be held responsible for replacement or recreation of images.


Maternity and newborn sessions are time-sensitive and cannot be recreated. Clients are strongly encouraged to finalize their selections promptly and download their images for personal safekeeping once delivered.


Final images will be shared in google drive and will be kept for maximum 10 days for you to download , pictures will be deleted from drive post 10 days. Recovery post 10 days may be available but not guaranteed. Recovery cost is $300.

FAQ

When is the best time to book a newborn photo session?

The best time to photograph your newborn is when the baby is under two weeks of age. After this period babies become harder to settle into a pose and lose their “curly womb look”. To assure availability, the best time to schedule your session is in the 5th or 6th month of your pregnancy.

What is the difference between a “studio” and an “at-home” newborn photo session?

I offer both a studio and at-home newborn session. You should consider your personal style and preferences when deciding which session is best for you. There is a significant difference in your final photo gallery, per session type. Please refer to my gallery for examples of creative and lifestyle newborn images.

The studio session is done entirely in a creative way, including both newborn baby portraits, close-ups, as well as images with parents and siblings. My approach is very simple. I love neutral colors and vintage props that complement your baby, and never go out of style. The images captured are not merely pictures; they are more like a work of art.

The at-home session is predominantly lifestyle. I strive to capture true to life, storytelling images that will one day bring you back to the first moments when you brought your baby home. You should consider your home’s décor as well as natural light when considering at-home session. The at-home session will cover baby portraits, close-ups, as well as lifestyle family images.

Where is your studio located?

My in-home studio is located in Herndon, VA ( 13524 Copper bed rd )

How long does a newborn photo session last?

Session can last anywhere from two to five hours.

Do we need to purchase any props?

No, I have plenty of props available for your session: hats, bonnets, tie-backs, headbands, wraps, backdrops, faux floor drops, baskets and crates. I love vintage props and earthy, neutral color. I use props to compliment and not take focus away from your baby. During a studio session, you will have access to all my props. If you choose an at-home session, I will bring variety of props with me after discussing your style and preferences with you.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, I do collect a $250 deposit to reserve your session date and lock your prices.

I am interested in digital images only. Do you offer such collections?

Yes I do. However, I love when my clients walk away with at least one printed product and that is why I offer add-on items and collections that include both digital images and some of my favorite printed products.

Which metro areas do you serve?

I serve Washington DC as well as Northern Virginia (Reston, Herndon, Ashburn, Leesburg, Vienna, McLean, Chantilly, Arlington, Oakton, Fairfax, Alexandria, Great Falls, Gainesville, Manassas, Centreville, Burke, Springfield, Purcellville, Fairfax County, Loudoun County and Prince William County, etc.) and Maryland (Bethesda, Montgomery County)
